Present were: Chair Scott Scheife, Sam Schneider, Larry Owen, Jack Daniels, Chris Yatchak and Capt. Pat Merten, with Steve Kreklow. APPROVAL OF MINUTES: MOTION (Chris/Jack) To Approve Minutes January 6, 2025. Roll call vote motion was carried unanimously at (6:01) p.m. UNFINISHED BUSINESS: No action taken. NEW BUSINESS; Conduct Interviews of Internal Candidates for the Position of Police Chief. MOTION; (Chris/Sam) To convene into closed session at (6:01) p.m. and include the Police & Fire Commission and Steve Kreklow. Roll call vote carried unanimously. The Police & Fire Commission may convene into closed session per Wis. Stats. §19.85 (1) (c) considering employment, promotion, compensation or performance evaluation data of any public employee over which the governmental body has jurisdiction or exercises responsibility and may convene into open session to take such action as it deems appropriate. MOTION: (Chris/Jack) To convene into open session at (6:50) p.m. Roll call vote carried unanimously. The Police & Fire Commission reconvened into open session. MOTION; (Chris/Sam) (6:51) p.m. Approve the appointment of Pat Merten as the new Germantown Police Chief effective February 14, 2025. Roll call vote carried unanimously. NEXT MEETING DATE: February 17, 2025. ADJOURNMENT: MOTION (Chris /Jack) Roll Call Vote Carried Unanimously. The meeting was adjourned at (6:52) p.m. Respectfully Submitted, Larry Owen III Secretary
