Present were: Chair Scott Scheife, Larry Owen, Jack Daniels, Chris Yatchak and Police Chief Patrick Merten and Lt. Daniel Mikulec. Sam Schneider was not present. APPROVAL OF MINUTES: MOTION: (Chris/Jack) To Approve Minutes April 29, 2025. Roll call vote motion was carried unanimously at (6:01) p.m. NEW BUSINESS: A. Conduct Interviews of Candidates for Officer Positions. MOTION: (Chris/Jack) To convene into closed session at (6:02) p.m. and include the Police & Fire Commission with Police Chief Patrick Merten and LT. Daniel Mikulec. Roll call vote carried unanimously. The Police & Fire Commission may convene into closed session per Wis. Stats. §19.85 (1) (c) considering employment, promotion, compensation or performance evaluation data of any public employee over which the governmental body has jurisdiction or exercises responsibility and may convene into open session to take such action as it deems appropriate. MOTION: (Chris/Jack) To convene into open session at (7:40) p.m. Roll call vote carried unanimously. The Police & Fire Commission reconvened into open session. MOTION: (Jack/Chris) To create an eligibility list for all approved candidates from 4/29/25 and 4/30/25 listed in alphabetical order and to be eligible for one year from April 30, 2025. Nathan Hornburg, Aaron Lembke, Joshua Olson, Colton Scharf, and Clayton Wagner. Roll call vote carried unanimously at (7:40) p.m. NEXT MEETING DATE: May 8, 2025. ADJOURNMENT: MOTION (Chris /Jack) Roll Call Vote Carried Unanimously. The meeting was adjourned at (7:45) p.m. Respectfully Submitted, Larry Owen III Secretary
