Present were: Chair Scott Scheife, Larry Owen, Jack Daniels, Chris Yatchak, Sam Schneider and Police Chief Patrick Merten and Capt. Penny Schmitt. APPROVAL OF MINUTES: MOTION (Jack/Sam) To Approve Minutes May 9, 2025. Motion carried unanimously at 5:45 pm. NEW BUSINESS: A: MOTION: (Chris / Sam) Review and approve the Amendments to the Police and Fire Commission Rules and Regulations as noted. Motion carried unanimously at 5:49 pm. Section II (1.) (A) (2) Section II (1.) (C) (4) (a.) Section III (C) (3) (b.) B: Conducting Interviews and establishing eligibility list for Police Officer positions MOTION: (Chris / Sam) to convene into closed session at 5:50 pm and include the Police and Fire Commission with Police Chief Patrick Merton and Penny Schmitt. Motion carried unanimously. The Police & Fire Commission may convene into closed session per Wis. Stats. §19.85 (1) (c) considering employment, promotion, compensation or performance evaluation data of any public employee over which the governmental body has jurisdiction or exercises responsibility and may convene into open session to take such action as it deems appropriate MOTION: (Chris/Sam) to reconvene the Police and Fire Commission into open session at 8:42 pm. Roll call vote carried unanimously. MOTION; (Chris / Sam) PFC to establish an eligibility list of all the candidates interviewed for the position of Police Officer. They will be listed in alphabetical order and to be valid for 12 months from June 30, 2025. Candidates are: Tanner Bond, Kaden Disterhaft, Zackery Dolney, Kyle Kloety, Damon Prestby. Roll call vote carried unanimously at 8:43 pm. NEXT MEETING DATE: TBA ADJOURNMENT: MOTION (Larry / Sam) Roll Call Vote Carried Unanimously.
